News Strong – Sacramento, CA: McClatchy Company founded in 1857, which operated 30 daily newspapers in fourteen states and had an average weekday circulation of 1.6 million readers and Sunday circulation of 2.4 million has reemerged from bankruptcy as JCK Legacy Company (OTC – MNIQQ).
Chatham Asset Management won the bankruptcy auction which included the Miami Herald, the Sacramento Bee, the Charlotte Observer and the remains of McClatchy’s 2006 purchase of Knight Ridder, an American media company running 32 daily newspaper brands.
